His full name, Harry Lane Tuten, III, is a testament to the love and creativity of his mother. She combined “Ry” from “Harry” and “e” from “Lane” to form “Rye,” making it unique and meaningful.

In the journey of life, Rye has been married to Lainey Huguet Tuten for 22 wonderful years. Their love story began in the most unexpected place – at an all-girls camp, Camp Greystone, in North Carolina. A whirlwind romance led to engagement and marriage within just one year!

While Rye is originally from South Carolina, he and Lainey tied the knot in Sunset, Louisiana, near Lainey’s home of Opelousas, and since that time, the two have ventured to different places over the years. They’ve called Mississippi, Lafayette (Louisiana), and Alabama home, each chapter marked by unique experiences.

Rye’s educational journey took him to Clemson for undergrad and Ole Miss for Law School, shaping his path in both the legal and insurance industries. With 21 years of combined experience as a lawyer and insurance agent, Rye’s mission is to prevent insurance nightmares by ensuring people are properly protected.

When Rye isn’t immersed in the world of insurance, he and his wife share a passion for food and live music. Dining out and enjoying musical performances with friends are among their favorite pastimes.

His free time revolves around watching his children compete in various sports, dance, and after-school activities. Rye is an active member of their Church and loves hosting social gatherings at home.

Though he used to play adult league soccer and basketball, Rye’s muscles have seen their fair share of action, and he’s gracefully transitioned into more spectator sports.

Here’s a twist – Rye has an unexpected love for classical music and drama films, revealing a hidden appreciation for the finer arts.

On his bucket list is attending a Liverpool soccer match in Liverpool, England, a dream that combines his love for sports and travel.

In college, Rye’s claim to fame was teaching Swing Dancing and being crowned the Fraternity Shag Dance champion (South Carolina’s state dance), while at Clemson.
